Hi folks! Today, I want to discuss the true journey of a black woman with natural hair. When I “went natural”, I looked to countless blogs, YouTube videos, personal friends, and my love/hate (mostly hate) relationship with perms to help me through my transition to being totally chemical free.
I saw so many beautiful manes that took on different shapes and sizes. I was intrigued by the different lengths and colors and I thought the curl patterns were amazing. The ladies I followed hair grew from twas, to chin lengths, to neck lengths, to bra strap lengths, and so on in what seemed like a matter of days. They made the journey look so easy and worry free that it become a no brainer for me to lose the perm.

Hello ladies! I know I haven’t been posting as regularly as I use to (managing people causes vegetation status when you hit the home front), but I will try to do better going forward.
What I have made time for is making mega, cheap purchases. Some people may handle stress by eating, taking drugs, drinking etc, but my vice is shopping. I will leave the office during my lunch break under the guise of going to actually eat food, but will come back with several pairs of shoes and cute dresses. It doesn’t help matters that the mall is less than 3 miles from the office.
Last week I went to Belk just to take a peek and walked out with several additions to my shoe room (yes, room not closet… that’s another story). I did so well on this trip that I got into a debate with the sales lady about how I thought she had under charged me!

I’m a 29 year old woman who works full-time at a physician practice as an operations manager. There’s no doubt Kim Kardashian’s style has been evolving in the past few months —after all, she had to buy some new clothes once boyfriend Kanye West cleaned out her entire closet.
But perhaps much to her sister Khloe’s dismay (RIP ghetto fab stilettos), Kim says she’s more than thankful for the influence her stylish boyfriend has had on her fashion “vision.”
In a recent interview with V Magazine, the reality star admits that Kanye has had much to do with her sophisticated new look.
“Obviously having a stylish boyfriend who has helped introduce me to things and opened up my vision has been an inspiration and has helped me change it up a little bit and become more sophisticated,” Kim said in the interview. “Being with him, designing and doing things, that’s been motivating to me and taught me a lot. I’m just thankful.”
